22 Jan Ticket to Dream Foundation & Mattress Firm Provide Comfort to Foster Children
Bloom Our Youth is proud to announce that the organization is one of two Georgia foster care organizations chosen to be beneficiaries of Mattress Firmand Ticket to Dream Foundation’s year-long projects to benefit foster youth for 2018. Since the beginning of Bloom’s partnership with Mattress Firm in 2016, they have donated over 11,500 items to The Bloom Closet and contributed $20,000 to the organization.
Mattress Firm, in partnership with Ticket to Dream Foundation, has joined forces with foster care organizations to make a difference in the lives of local foster children across the entire country. As part of an ongoing commitment to the community, Mattress Firm is proud to lend a voice to these children and aid the organizations that help them.
“The Mattress Firm and Ticket to Dream Foundation’s generosity is truly bringing comfort and joy to the 3,000 foster children who visit The Bloom Closet annually,” says Becky Davenport, Executive Director of Bloom. “To the kids, the experience is so much more than just picking out donated clothing and toys; it’s a reminder that the entire community cares about them.”
The Bloom Closet relies on donations to help meet the needs and warm the hearts of displaced children and youth. The Mattress Firm’s generous choice to donate is going a long ways towards alleviating suffering and bettering the lives of thousands of foster children in Georgia.
