Bloom Chosen as 2019 Beneficiary of Keller Williams RED Day and Kares 4 Kids Flex Funds

On May 9, 2019, Keller Williams of Peachtree City celebrated their annual day of service, called RED (Renew, Energize, and Donate) Day, by completing projects to help foster youth thrive. Sixty members of the Keller Williams team volunteered at The Bloom Closet to organize donated clothing for foster children. The group also painted and built storage units and tables for the Volunteer & Donation Center supporting The Bloom Closet.

Additionally, on May 23, 2019, Keller Williams presented a donation of $3,313.50 from Kares 4 Kids Flex Funds. The funds were earmarked to purchase new socks and underwear for the foster children who utilize The Bloom Closet.

“We are blessed and humbled that Keller Williams of Peachtree City selected us to be the beneficiary of their RED Day this year,” comments Becky Davenport, Bloom Executive Director. “Our goal at The Bloom Closet is to provide foster children with a wardrobe that allows them to hold their heads up high and to fit in to show them that someone cares. Keller William’s Flex Funds will help up to continue to support our foster families and to help them leave with a smile.”

“Bloom was chosen as the Flex Funds recipient due to the safe haven that they offer to thousands of children during a traumatic time in their lives, and the territory that Bloom covers is amazing,” commented Marlene Henderson from Keller Williams. “The opportunity to volunteer at The Bloom Closet was a humbling & heart enriching experience.”

Thank you again to the Keller William’s of Peachtree City team for joining our cause and supporting our mission to strengthen foster children and empower the families who care for them!
