Together, we raised $13,153 for foster children!
Thank you to all the schools who participated in Bloom’s first annual PB & Jammies Event! Together we raised $13,153 for foster children in Georgia. We hope you had a blast wearing your pajamas for a good cause and look forward to partnering with you again next year!
About PB & Jammies Day:
The Fayette County Board of Education has partnered with Bloom for the past 25 years to host the Fayette County Power Parade, a walk-a-thon fundraiser held during P.E. Class. In 2017, we decided to change the format to keep things fresh and exciting!
PB&Jammies Day is a student fundraiser that was held in May 2017 at the Fayette County Elementary and Middle Schools. The fundraiser included a county-wide Pajama Day and prizes for the classrooms that raised the most funds! Through PB&Jammies Day, children were able to give back and help support foster children in their own community.
All the funds raised go towards supporting Bloom’s programs for foster children. Currently, the organization has the following programs for foster children: a foster care recruitment, training, and resource program, and a cost-free clothing boutique for foster children, called The Bloom Closet. Through these two initiatives, Bloom is able to provide shelter and basic necessities like food and clothing to more than 2,000 foster children per year.
